Brant is a plank owner assisting with the start up of MSDA bringing 3+ decades of experience in Emergency Response Management and Emergency Management. His background is a diverse and mixed balance of Business Management – BBA Management, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Heavy Technical and Confined Space Rescue & Security. He served in the United States Navy Construction Battalions (SEABEES) as a Heavy Equipment Operator supporting global missions. He has received certification as Fire Officer I, Fire Fighter II and HazMat Safety Officer. In the past, Brant has managed and led various Medical First Responder Units, Hazardous Materials Operations, and a Countywide Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team. In addition, he has developed/co-developed and implemented protocols for these teams to act. Brant has received extensive training in Fire Service, Incident Command Systems, Hazardous Material Safety, and Corporate Safety Administration. Some specialized training for previous and current certification include, Fire Fighter Health and Safety; Implementation and Management, Fire Fighter Safety and Survival, Breathing Air Technician/High Pressure Breathing Air Systems, and Train the Trainer for Confined Space Entry Rescue, FEMA CERT, National Safety Council First Aid/CPR, Advanced HazMat Technician, and Federal Railroad Safety as well as Critical Infrastructure Security, and Regulatory Compliance to name a few of his specialties.
